Previously, UNS had conducted Campus Life Introduction for New Students (PKKMB) at the university level on 13-14 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Chief of Partnership and International Office Unit UNS, Rino Ardhian Nugroho, Ph.D., reported that UNS admitted 33 foreign students from 13 countries this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTwenty-two students received the UNS scholarship scheme, three students have independent funding, and eight students got funding from Developing Countries Partnership (KNB),\u201d Rino explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his opening remark, the Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs UNS, Prof. Sajidan, congratulated the international students admitted as UNS students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe opportunity to continue studying abroad, especially UNS, provides an opportunity (for students) to have the experience to connect and communicate with a new environment and with different culture. The first speaker in this briefing was Ardian Pramastyo Putro, M. H., the Head of Population Registration Service Division Disdukcapil Kota Surakarta, who explained the responsibility, requirements, and procedure to manage Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal (Residence Certificate) for foreign students once they live in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Partnership and International Office Unit UNS also collaborates with UNS Language Center (UP2B) to arrange a Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) course for all foreign students of the 2021\/2022 academic year. This course aims to improve their Indonesia Language proficiency to help them during the learning process and improve their achievements.
