UNS<\/strong> — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held another vaccination for the public under the collaboration between the Faculty of Medical Science (FK), Financial Service Authority (OJK), and Alumni Association (IKA) UNS. The vaccination program was aimed at UNS academic members, alumni, and the public held in FK UNS Hall starting on 28 September 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday (30\/9\/2021), the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners OJK, Prof. Wimboh Santoso, Surakarta Mayor, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Surakarta Vice-Mayor, Teguh Prakosa, and the Rector of UNS, directly review the vaccination process, which is also attended by the Central Java Province Governor, Ganjar Pranowo, through an online platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ganjar Pranowo, who reviewed the program online, appreciated the UNS vaccination program and hoped that the program would be conducted continuously once the university received the new batch of vaccines. \u201cHopefully, the vaccination by UNS is not the last. If there are more vaccine quota, (UNS) could conduct vaccination again,\u201d Ganjar stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners OJK, Prof. Wimboh Santoso, also added that this vaccination program aims to recover the community\u2019s economic activities. Through the collaboration with UNS, Prof. Wimboh hoped that people in Solo who have not been vaccinated could register for the vaccination program in UNS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy OJK participated in pushing vaccination because the economy will only recover if the community is healthy. This (program) needs to be speedy; if it takes time, our economy will also slow in recovering. But lately, the acceleration of vaccination was remarkable that the Covid-19 infection could drop to 1,600\/day,\u201d Prof. Wimboh explained. With the acceleration of vaccination and decreasing cases, the government has started to ease the PPKM in several regions, which allows the community to have more freedom in performing their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Board<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVaccination from OJK will be continued; today, there are four points in UNS, Batang, Semarang, and Purwokerto. All OJK offices stimulate the distribution and acceleration of vaccination. Hopefully, herd immunity is achieved, and Indonesia is free from Covid-19,\u201d Prof. Wimboh added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, also mentioned that this program is UNS contribution to accelerating the vaccination program. \u201cUNS has conducted vaccination several times for first and second dose. Today, there is another vaccination. Hopefully, the community is assisted with this vaccination program,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice-Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa, stated that this effort is a means to recover the economic condition in Surakarta and he hoped that the municipal government could collaborate with UNS in recovering the economy further. \u201cFor example, in recovering the creative economy that was affected by the pandemic and other efforts,\u201d Teguh stated.
