UNS<\/strong> — Nearing the end of September 2021, three student art associations presented 2021Collaborative Performance \u201cSurya Wilwatikta\u201d. UPKD FKIP UNS, Wiswakarman FIB UNS, and BKKT UNS are all art associations in the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta from faculties and university level performed Surya Wilwatikta manuscript that tells the establishment of the Majapahit Kingdom or Wilwatikta, and the subsequent discord in the Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artistic performance was broadcasted from Student Center UNS through Solo Tourism YouTube Channel and Punakawan Solo as support from Solo Tourism Office for the legendary performance from UNS students. This performance received a great response from the community, with six thousand viewers watching the broadcast since its premiere on Wednesday (23\/9\/2021) until this report is written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To uns.ac.id, Lutfi Reski Rahmawati, as the Head of Production team explained that the performance was based on Surya Wilwatikta (Surya Majapahit) written by Benedictus Billy Aldi K, S.Sn and directed by Lucky Gusti Yoga P. Her team wanted to share the importance of teamwork and commitment in a group through the performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"For<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe manuscript talked about the importance of partnership and commitment in building a country. If when a country is struck by a conflict, people put forward their egos, unwilling to take a middle ground, then (the country) will perish. The lesson is, when there is a problem, we should not put forward our egos. Try to find a middle ground,\u201d Erna, who is also a UPKD FKIP UNS member, stated on Tuesday (28\/9\/2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Collaborative Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaborative performance was the first to be held by the three associations in traditional arts. They hoped that this performance could strengthen the relationship and partnership among the student associations on the campus while developing members\u2019 talents and creativity who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Ema also explained that the opportunity to take place in the performance was opened for all members, and there was screening and casting for the dancers and players in the performance. \u201cWhile for the managing committee, we shared evenly. Each association sent 20 people,\u201d Ema added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"For<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The performance took four months to prepare, and the rehearsal started on May 2021 but was stopped awhile due to the PPKM that was enforced on July 2021. At the end of the interview, Ema shared her expectation for the collaboration to be held in the following years with better quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI also hope that even amid the pandemic, the performance and activities of student association could be implemented to develop member\u2019s talents and creativity while preserving the culture,\u201d Ema concluded. Humas UNS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
