UNS<\/strong> — Covid-19 pandemic that struck Indonesia since 2020 has changed into a multidimensional crisis. After 1965, 1998, and 2008, 2020 is the latest crisis that affects Indonesia due to the health issues caused by Covid-19. The multidimensional nature of the current crisis means that it affects all of the national sectors, including the economy. The tourism sector, as one of the economic and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) drivers in Indonesia, is also affected by the crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, explained that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) is taking all possible efforts to recover the tourism and creative economy sectors through the implementation of policies and programs. \u201cKemenparekraf always tries to recover the tourism and creative economy sectors through the implementation of policies and programs on time, with the right benefit, and right targets, amid this challenging time,\u201d Sandiaga Uno stated as a Keynote Speaker in Conclusion#2 held by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, on Sunday (3\/10\/2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandiaga also added that his ministry also improves the quality of human resources through re-skilling, up-skilling, and certification of competencies. Kemenparekraf also provided funds in the form of incentives for capital activities for cleaning, healthcare, safety, and environmental sustainability to support MSMEs in surviving the difficult time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe also facilitated the development of products and services. Providing protection for Intellectual Property Rights and digital transformation for MSMEs in the creative economy,\u201d the minister added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kemenparekraf is also committed to assisting in product marketing through \u2018Bangga Buatan Indonesia dengan Beli Kreatif Lokal<\/em>\u2019 (Proud of Indonesian\u2019s Products by Purchasing Local Creative), bookkeeping, and marketing strategy including branding, product packaging, and product pictures to increase sales of creative economy products. The ministry is also trying to build high-quality and sustainable tourism amid the pandemic by considering environmental protections and ensuring its availability for the future generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
