However, for some people with a tight work-from-home schedule, health is often neglected because of the close job deadlines. This lifestyle leads to unhealthy eating that pays little regard to daily nutritional needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not to mention the label of \u2018self-rewards\u2019 and \u2018cheating day\u2019 that often lies on a thin line of permissiveness in unhealthy food and beverages consumption under the pretext of \u2018reward\u2019 for jobs or diet they performed. People could order online food delivery multiple times a day that contains high sugar and sodium level. According to the nutritionist of <a href=\"https:\/\/rs.uns.ac.id\/\">Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta Hospital<\/a>, Banun Ma\u2019rifah Fatshidi, S.Gz., this behavior is unhealthy because of high sugar and sodium levels in foods and beverages could lead to numerous illnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe risk of high sugar is diabetes mellitus,\u201d Banun stated as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/uns.ac.id\/en\">uns.ac.id<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/c\/rumahsakituns\/\">UNS Hospital YouTube<\/a> channel on Monday (14\/2\/2022). In comparison, high sodium intake increases the risk of high blood pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Controlling Sugar and Sodium Level<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uns.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/suggestions-from-uns-hospital-nutritionist-on-sugar-salt-2.webp\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/uns.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/suggestions-from-uns-hospital-nutritionist-on-sugar-salt-2.webp\" alt=\"Healthier During Pandemics? First, she suggested that people obey the direction of sugar, sodium, and fat consumption from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Decree (Permenkes) Number 30 of 2013 concerning the Disclosure of Sugar, Sodium, and Fat and Health Notes on Processed and Ready Foods. \u201cThe guideline is G4 G1 L5,\u201d Banun stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">G4 G1 L5 refers to 10% of total daily calory needs or 200 kcal from sugar. \u201cSugar four dessert spoons per person or equal to 50 grams per person per day,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then 2,000 mg sodium or one teaspoon per person per day. For household needs, it is equal to 50 grams per person per day. Besides G4 G1 L5, Banun also asked people to track their food intake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf you drink sweet tea in the morning, you need to track that you don\u2019t consumer sweet foods or beverages in the afternoon and evening,\u201d Banun added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She explained that, in general, sugar is the result of carbohydrate metabolism with complex chemical structures.
