UNS<\/a><\/strong> —The Faculty of Medicine (FK) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta inaugurated 134 new students of the Specialist Doctor Education Program (or PPDS). These new students are the result of the UNS New Student Admission Selection (SPMB) for the academic year 2023\/2024 and have fulfilled the requirements and completed the re-registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration ceremony took place at the FK UNS Auditorium on Monday (15\/1\/2024). The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S.; Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K).; Vice Deans at FK UNS; Head of the UNS New Student Admission Selection (SPMB) Center, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiwiyono, M.Si.; Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau at UNS, Iwan Wisnu Anggono, S.S., M.Si., as well as Heads of the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) at FK UNS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head of the UPT SPMB UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiwiyono, M.Si., stated that the newly inaugurated PPDS students are the result of a series of selection processes that started in September 2023, and all processes were carried out in accordance with applicable regulations. The number of new PPDS students who passed the second stage and completed the registration is 134 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This selection process is divided into two stages. Stage I selection is done by conducting an online test with material on academic potential (TPA) and English language skills or by uploading the BAPPENAS TPA certificate and TOEFL ITP\/IELTS certificate. In the second stage, the selection includes the study program interview, field expertise test, psychological test, portfolio, physical health test (MCU), and an interview by university and hospital leaders,” Prof. Hadiwiyono explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S., conveyed that in the first stage of the exam, there were 378 applicants. Of this number, 354 were declared to have passed the first stage and were eligible to take the second stage, or 93.65%. Based on the results of the second stage exam, there were 135 prospective students from 15 study programs who were declared to have passed the selection, and from this number, one prospective student did not register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I received a report from the UPT SPMB UNS that there were 378 applicants for PPDS UNS in period II. This shows that PPDS UNS is increasingly in demand by the public, especially graduates from the Faculty of Medicine from all over Indonesia. For those accepted, you must be grateful because you are outstanding applicants who have been selected and accepted as PPDS students at UNS, which is a top and excellent university in Indonesia. Therefore, to the new PPDS students in period II for the academic year 2023\/2024, I say congratulations, and may Allah give you smoothness and success in your studies,” Prof. Yunus stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration ceremony concluded with the handover of the list of names of new PPDS students from the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at UNS, Prof. Yunus, to the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These new PPDS students will undergo Pre-Education activities at FK and at the Dr. Moewardi Surakarta Regional General Hospital (RSUD) before starting their education, the majority of which will be carried out at the hospital. HUMAS UNS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
