UNS<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP)<\/a> at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta has signed an Action Plan with the Faculty of Political Sciences, Istanbul University,<\/a> Turkey. The signing ceremony took place at Istanbul University<\/a> from September 2 to 4, 2024, and was conducted by the Dean of FISIP UNS, Prof. Dr. Ismi Dwi Astuti Nurhaeni, M.Si., and the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Istanbul University<\/a>, Prof. Dr. Adem Esen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accompanying Prof. Ismi at the event were the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, Dra. Prahastiwi Utari, Ph.D.; the Vice Dean for Human Resources, Finance, and Logistics, Dr. Ahmad Zuber, S.Sos., D.E.A.; and the Vice Dean for Planning, Business Cooperation, and Information, Dr. Didik Gunawan Suharto, M.Si.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe signing of this Action Plan follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the former Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., and Istanbul University<\/a> on February 6, 2021. The Rector of Istanbul University <\/a>at that time, Prof. Dr. Mahmut A.K., signed on behalf of the university,\u201d Prof. Ismi explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The areas of cooperation outlined in the Action Plan include research collaboration, lecture exchanges, and scientific journal partnerships. Both parties agreed that the activities under the Action Plan will take place from 2025 to 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to signing the Action Plan, the FISIP UNS team also participated in an academic forum where they presented their research. Prof. Dr. Ismi Dwi Astuti Nurhaeni, M.Si., presented a paper titled \u201cDesigning Gender-Responsive Schools: The Case in Indonesia<\/em>.\u201d Dra. Prahastiwi Utari, Ph.D., delivered her paper on \u201cPerspectives of The Seven Traditions in Communication Theory<\/em>.\u201d Dr. Ahmad Zuber, S.Sos., D.E.A., presented \u201cPoverty Alleviation with a Participatory Approach and Paul Shaffer: A Study in Sukoharjo, Indonesia<\/em>,\u201d while Dr. Didik Gunawan Suharto, S.Sos., M.Si., discussed \u201cAdministrative and Political Aspects in the Urban Expansion Policy in the City of Surakarta<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
