UNS<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, along with NVIDIA, ELS, and the Surakarta City Government, provided full support for the successful organization of the NVIDIA Campus Edutech Fair 2024<\/a>, themed “AI Power Up: AI in Daily Campus Life.” This event served as an educational platform for young people and academics while broadening the understanding of AI (Artificial Intelligence) for industry professionals and the general public. The event showcased how AI can be integrated into daily life to boost effectiveness, productivity, and serve as a critical tool for solving various problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held at Pendopo Joglo, Surakarta City Hall, on Sunday (29\/9\/2024), the NVIDIA Campus Edutech Fair 2024<\/a> attracted over 700 participants from diverse backgrounds, including lecturers, teachers, university students, high school students, practitioners, and the general public. They eagerly learned about the development and application of AI, particularly within education and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eko Harry Pratisto, S.T., M.Info.Tech., Ph.D., Head of the D-3 Informatics Engineering Progra<\/a>m at UNS Vocational School<\/a>, emphasized the importance of mastering AI technology, especially for students and educators. His remarks highlighted that AI is no longer a trend but has become integral to daily life and education. Embracing modern technology like AI is essential for strengthening the nation’s global competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“AI is no longer a distant future\u2014it is here in our daily lives. For students, educators, and researchers, AI should be a tool that enhances learning, research, and innovation. Through this event, we aim to nurture a generation that not only uses AI but also masters and develops it,” Eko Harry stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event\u2019s highlight was a talk show featuring three prominent speakers in AI and digital technology, who provided deep insights into the role of AI in campus life, industry, and society, as well as its future potential. The talk show was moderated by IT expert, Mutiara Auliya Khadija, S.Kom., M.Eng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first session was led by Anjas Maradita, an AI content creator and video producer known across various social media platforms. In his workshop, Anjas provided practical guidance on how to use AI-based tools to produce and optimize digital content. Participants were excited to learn how AI can streamline the creation of high-quality digital content more efficiently\u2014even with potential revenue opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Anyone can be a content creator today, but with the help of AI, this process becomes easier and faster. AI can assist in producing any type of content\u2014video, images, sound, and text\u2014automatically. For the younger generation eager to enter the creative content industry, mastering AI technology will be a significant advantage,” Anjas said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also demonstrated several AI tools and applications, both free and premium, that can help in daily content creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second speaker, Adrian Lesmono, Country Manager of NVIDIA GeForce Indonesia, explored the rapid growth of AI globally, including in Indonesia. Adrian discussed how AI has advanced significantly in recent years, not only in technology development but also in its application across various industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“AI is a technology we must master, not only as users but also as innovators. We need to understand how it works and, more importantly, integrate it into all aspects of life\u2014whether in industry, business, or education. Indonesia, with its large youthful population, has the potential to become a key player in AI development, but we need greater efforts to achieve this,” Adrian noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that NVIDIA, as a leader in AI hardware and software, remains committed to supporting AI development in Indonesia through educational and developmental programs like the NVIDIA Campus Edutech Fair 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third session featured Taufiqurrakhman Nur Hidayat, an expert in games and immersive technology. Taufiqurrakhman addressed AI ethics and the optimal ways to implement AI in education. He discussed how AI can be used to create more personalized and interactive learning experiences. Technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) powered by AI can be used to create immersive educational simulations that engage students more deeply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When using AI, we must ensure it is utilized for positive and beneficial purposes. It’s important to safeguard data privacy and security while avoiding the misuse of AI for irresponsible purposes,” Taufiqurrakhman stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most anticipated segments of the NVIDIA Campus Edutech Fair 2024 was the AI competition held before the main event. Participants were challenged to showcase their creativity by developing AI-based content. The competition was expected to encourage innovation and creativity among young people, fostering AI solutions that could benefit the wider community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the NVIDIA Campus Edutech Fair 2024, participants unanimously agreed that AI would be a vital tool in the future, particularly in the education and industrial sectors. AI is expected to open new opportunities in teaching methods, research, and development. Events like this aim to advance Indonesia\u2019s education system, with technology as a key enabler.
