UNS<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN) to strengthen strategic collaboration in supporting the acceleration of sharia financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia. The signing ceremony was conducted directly by BSN President Director, Alex Sofjan Noor, and UNS Rector, Prof. Dr. Hartono, at Meeting Room 4, dr. Prakosa Building, UNS, on Friday (13\/2\/2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his remarks, Prof. Hartono welcomed the collaboration and emphasized that the partnership should not remain merely symbolic or administrative, but must be translated into concrete follow-up actions through impactful programs and collaborations that provide benefits for both institutions and the wider community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe hope this cooperation can be implemented concretely and strengthen both institutions. One example is through the involvement of BSN practitioners as practitioner lecturers or guest speakers at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNS, particularly in the field of Islamic Economics and Finance. The presence of industry practitioners in academic spaces is expected to enrich students\u2019 perspectives with \u0430\u043a\u0442\u0443al and applicable industrial experience,\u201d explained Prof. Hartono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to education and human resource development, the collaboration is also expected to include support for various institutional activities, including participation and funding for the 50th Dies Natalis celebration and other academic and student activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlhamdulillah, on this occasion, BSN has also provided sponsorship for the 50th Dies Natalis of UNS amounting to IDR 200 million,\u201d added Prof. Hartono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Alex Sofjan Noor stated that the strategic partnership between UNS and BSN is expected to accelerate the improvement of sharia financial literacy and inclusion across Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe hope that this collaboration with UNS will help promote education and literacy in Islamic economics, thereby supporting professional and sustainable national development,\u201d said Alex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scope of cooperation between UNS and BSN covers several strategic areas. First, collaboration in education, research, and community service. Second, human resource competency development. Third, the implementation of impactful internship programs, including young talent development, scientific activities, and knowledge exchange. In addition, both parties agreed to optimize the use of each institution\u2019s expertise and facilities while providing banking services to support institutional activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) was also signed between BSN and the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNS. This agreement focuses on banking services and operational fund management, transaction and digital banking services, socialization and literacy of Islamic finance and economics, as well as support for various academic and non-academic activities within the faculty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this partnership, BSN hopes to make a positive contribution to the development of UNS while accelerating the growth of sharia financial literacy and inclusion among the academic community and society at large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are optimistic that UNS will continue to grow in producing future talents and national leaders, while also becoming a strategic partner in strengthening the national Islamic economic ecosystem,\u201d Alex concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
