UNS – A student of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta has succeeded in winning Panasonic Scholarship. Carina Intan Permatasari, an Industrial Engineering student currently studying in her third year at UNS, has become one of seven lucky students awarded the scholarship for this year. She won the prize, worth Rp 15 million per semester or Rp 30 million a year, after going through a selection process containing several stages.

Dean of Engineering Faculty Dr. Sholichin As’ad revealed that the selection process Carina had been through included desk evaluation, presentation, and interview in English. Sholichin added that Carina got the Panasonic Scholarship award after the selection results announcement, in which she was declared to be a student passing the selection process as well the others from ITB, UI, UGM, Undip, and Universitas Darma Persada.

According to Carina, her preparations for the scholarship selection included familiarizing herself with the latest applied applications in industrial engineering. Various research experiences in business and logistics systems laboratory also helped Carina prepare to endure the selection process. During interview students were asked about their general knowledge of Panasonic, their strengths and weaknesses, and their future plans in five years.

“Research experiences with lecturers in business and logistics systems laboratory, writing a scientific paper, presenting it at a conference, and keeping my eagerness to find references made a major contribution to my preparedness for answering several questions during the interview,” she closed. humas-red.uns/Oss/Eln
