UNS – The third commencement ceremony of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta in 2017 was held in front of dr. Prakosa building for 746 graduates, Saturday (8/7/2017). More than 35 percent — 266 graduates to be precise — graduated cum laude or were honored “with praise” at the ceremony, opened by UNS Rector Ravik Karsidi.

According to the report presented by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Sutarno, the 266 graduates awarded a cum laude qualification belonged to various academic levels. A total of 2 cum laude graduates were those earning a doctoral degree, 19 were those earning a master’s degree, 156 were those earning a bachelor’s degree — from seven faculties, and 89 were those earning an associate degree (D3) — from four faculties.
The commencement also included awards presenting for 11 graduates that had accomplished outstanding achievements. Appreciation was expressed for the victory and success in international competitions gained by David Hendra Prasetyo, Muhammad Satya Irfanando, and Muhammad Andy Anzi.
In addition, appreciation was also expressed to the youngest graduates — Aris Tri Haryanto with the doctoral degree, Rivay Frien Danu with the master’s degree, Dewi Ayu Paramita with the professional degree associated with specialty in medicine, One Octivia Nur Laiilla with the bachelor’s degree, and Putri Khomara Sari with the associate degree (D3) — and graduates having the shortest study period for degree completion — Dr. Sri Budi Wahjuningsih; Bienmali Kombate, M.M.; and Yo Tendy Pratama, S.Ked. humas-red.uns/Eln
