UNS – A student of Administration Office Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Dheaz Paramitha successfully achieved the first winner of an office administration competition, Gebyar Ilmu Perkantoran Seluruh Indonesia (GIPSI) for the category of English Correspondence. This event was conducted by Indonesian Office Student Forum (FORMAPSI) on Saturday-Sunday (8-9/9/2018) at Yogyakarta State University (UNY). She felt so proud of her achievement by glorifying UNS in national level.
“Indeed, I am so happy because it has been a long time that I wanted to contribute an achievement for my university, and finally the hope comes true,” Dheaz said on Friday (14/9/2018).
Dheaz explained that the preparation for the competition took not too long. At the first time, she got an information from her friends in FORMAPSI.
“Then, I did self-taught practice since the previous week by reading business letter books to improve my grammar and vocabularies,” the student of 2016 batch added.
Since Dheaz successfully won the competition, she was awarded a gold medal and fresh money.
“This event is conducted by FORMAPSI once in two years. Hopefully, in the next following years the students of Office Administration of UNS are able to participate and of course get achievements. I thank God since there is no problem during the competition,” Dheaz explained.
Dheaz is not the only representative from Office Administration Department. There were five other students who also struggled at the competition. They were Aprilliani Dwi Marta (2017) joining Ten Finger Typing category, Bany barnlike (2017) and Brigita Verisda (2017) joining English Public Speaking category, Yuliami Nur Haida (2017) joining Microsoft Excel category, and Adam Pandu (2016) joining Creative and Sensational PowerPoint category.
“For the result of the accumulation, the team of UNS achieved the third winner of the event this year,” Dheaz said. humas.red-uns/Imr/Dty
