UNS — The Diploma in Informatics Engineering ( D3 IT) Study Program, Vocational School (SV), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta hosted the 2021 Smart IT Fest Quantum taking on the theme of  ‘Build Indonesia.’ Officially started a month ago, the Closing Ceremony for the event was held on Saturday (2/10/2021).

The Head of D3 TI Study Program SV UNS, Hartatik, M.Si., said that in 2020, the Smart IT Fest had successfully organized a similar event under a different theme, namely the ‘Innovation of D3 IT Products as a Solution in the Pandemic Era, Collaboration with Industry.’ This year around, under the theme of ‘Building Indonesia,’ the Smart IT Fest collaborates with E-Mailkomp, and was Chaired by Armada Muhammad Siswanto.

As an annual event, the Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 aims to facilitate the D3 IT SV UNS students’ final project publication. “This is where students’ creative ideas in the technological sector are created. Not only that, the Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 is a long-awaited moment for students to broaden their perspective in the currently developing technology,” explained Hartatik, M.Si.

The Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 consists of Expo, National Seminar, and National Competition. The Expo is a session for the D3 IT SV UNS students to publish their works, which are viewable for the public through the Smart IT Fest Official Youtube channel and the smartitfest.d3ti.ac.id website. Meanwhile, the Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 National Seminar attracted quite some public attention. The National Seminar covers various topics such as Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist, Technology and Big Data Enthusiasts, ‘Bringing Things to Life with the Internet of Things,’ and the Role of Software Development in Achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045.

Numerous well-known speakers were invited as speakers at the Seminar, among others, are Bagus Rully Muttaqien discussing the Technology and Big Data Enthusiasts, and the CTO & Co-founder of Talk.id, Angga Dwi Arifandi, delivering a speech on the Role of Software Development in Realizing a Golden Indonesia 2045.

The National Seminar is conducted virtually through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application and was available for free to the public, attracting high enthusiasm. The Chairperson of the Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 Organizing Committee, Muhammad Irfan Pratama, said that there were nearly 100 participants attended the webinar.

The Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 also holds a series of National Competitions consisting of a Poster Competition, Apps Development Competition, and a Start-Up Business Competition from September 4 to October 2, 2021. Humas UNS
