UNS — Proud achievement was accomplished by another Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta student. Zidan Insa Fauzi, student of Chemical Engineering Program Faculty of Engineering (FT) won 3rd Place in the national trading competition at the end of 2021.
The trading competition was held by the Indonesia Stock Exchange Investment Gallery, Faculty of Economy (FE), Universitas Andalas (Unand) using IndoPremier Sekuritas accounts.
In an interview with uns.ac.id, Zidan revealed that in the selection stages, all participants were required to conduct trading with starting capital of IDR 100,000 on the stock transaction only.
“Twenty teams with the highest capital gain passed to the semifinal to make a presentation video on the transactions they perform during the selection stages. Then ten teams with the best presentation passed to the final to participate in a question-and-answer session with the board of juries,” Zidan stated on Saturday (8/1/2022).
Zidan admitted that he was delighted because this was his first trading competition, and he could win as one of the champions.
“Moreover, I just learned about trading for a few months, there were many challenges such as what stocks I should purchase, when to purchase, and when to sell, how many percent of the capital I should use to purchase the stocks, and with IDR 100,000 as initial capital, the fewer options are available for the stocks that can be purchased,” Zidan added.
The third-semester student hoped that his skill in the investment sector could improve and he could stay in the stock exchange because the real competition is when he enters the real market. Humas UNS
