UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PT. Citilink Indonesia in Ruang Sidang 2 dr. Prakosa Rectorate Building UNS, Friday (7/1/2022). The draft of the Memorandum of Understanding was signed directly by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., and President Director (Dirut) PT. Citilink Indonesia, Ir. Juliandra, M.M.

On the occasion, Prof. Jamal was accompanied by the Vice-Chairman of Board of Trustees (MWA) UNS, Prof. Hasan Fauzi, M.B.A., Ph.D., C.A., CSRA Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. rer.nat.Sajidan, M.Si. From Citilink, Ir. Juliandra was accompanied by the President Commissioner of PT. Citilink Indonesia, Dr. Prasetio, and the directors.

The Memorandum of Understanding between UNS and PT. Citilink Indonesia was signed to support and align the potential and resources of both parties. The collaboration will include education, research, community services, and implementation of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. This partnership will also cover ticket facilities for business/institution or non-institutional travel for UNS academic members and internships for students.

In his opening remark, Prof. Jamal welcomed the opportunity from PT. Citilink Indonesia in signing this Memorandum of Understanding. For him PT. Citilink Indonesia, as a reputable low-cost airline under Garuda Indonesia management, could bring a multitude of benefits for UNS.

“Our students could intern there and help with professional duties in Citilink. There is also an opportunity that our students could be employed after graduating,” Prof. Jamal stated.

Further, the Rector also stated that UNS would provide an opportunity for professionals from PT. Citilink Indonesia to teach in UNS as a part of MBKM program implementation that facilitated students to learn from experts.

“We are ready to facilitate! I hope this Memorandum of Understanding could be developed into collaboration points as a follow-up,” Prof. Jamal stated.

Responding to the warm welcome from UNS on the collaboration, Ir. Juliandra stated that PT. Citilink Indonesia pays excellent attention to educational institutions, implemented through collaboration with UNS at the beginning of 2022. He also emphasized that PT. Citilink Indonesia will welcome UNS students for internships in the company.
