UNS — Innovative facility was introduced by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The facility was introduced through @creator.uns launching in the Instagram account initiated by the Ministry of Creation and Student’s Works BEM UNS. The uns.ac.id team received a valuable opportunity to talk with Muhammad Fawaid Nurazizi, Director General of Work Innovation and Reasoning, and the Chief of Creator UNS Grand Launching Committee held on Sunday (25/4/2021).
Faid—his short name—explained that Creator UNS is a platform that provides information for UNS students in particular and the community in general. The information includes soft skill development, innovative work creation, and student appreciation, in short, a platform for student self-development in the digital era. “Once every two weeks, Creator UNS will upload new contents. Then, it is planned that once every two months, (it) will hold talk show or webinar on soft skill development nowadays,” the Industrial Engineering student explained on Monday (26/4/2021).
The launching of this platform was encouraged by the number of young generations who started a start-up business by maximizing the potential from technology advancement in the industrial revolution 4.0 era. UNS also has great students potential who are interested in and have successfully create innovative works. “But is not well known by the public and received appreciation for their achievements,” Faid added.
On a different occasion, Verren Nadhifa, as the Minister of Student Creation and Work BEM UNS, hopes that Creator UNS can provide a means for students to move forward even though it is uncomfortable. He gave an example of Chairil Tanjung, who started his journey because the situation forced him to move. “Moving is uncomfortable; went through a process is uncomfortable. We hope Creator UNS can be an information media for students to move forward despite the uncomfortable,” he said.
Many parties appreciated the Creator UNS introduction marked by its high Instagram followers and hundreds of participants in its grand launching. The appreciation came from the university and Surakarta Major, Gibran Rakabuming Raka. “Digital sector is the arena for the creative, innovative, and pioneering young generation. Hopefully, Creator UNS could be an arena to create and self-development in creating a professional climate in UNS in particular,” Gibran stated in Creator UNS grand launching. Humas UNS
