UNS — Dozens of outstanding students in Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta received achievement incentives consisting of assistance, financial incentive, and scholarships. This award was delivered during an achievement award ceremony for UNS students. The event took place at the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNS Auditorium, Tuesday (14/12/2021).
The student achievement incentive is awarded to UNS students who won national championships organized by the Republic of Indonesia Ministries, such as the National Sports Week (PON), the National Student Scientific Week (Pimnas), the National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Competition (KN-MIPA), as well as international level championships such as the Asian Youth Para Games.
The award was handed directly by the UNS Rector, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho. Also attending the ceremony was the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Ahmad Yunus, and the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono.
In his speech, Prof. Jamal appreciated the accomplishment achieved by the UNS students in these various competitions. “On this occasion, frankly, UNS and I feel proud to have productive and enthusiastic young talents for the future of the nation. Being in the midst of great students who have successfully carved out victories in various championships is an unforgettable moment,” said Prof. Jamal.
Further, he invited the students to continue showing achievements and marking their name in various events, both at national and international levels.
“Your current and future responsibility is not only for the sake of you and your family’s success but also for the development of UNS and the beloved Nation and State of Indonesia. UNS and this Nation need your direct attention and role, namely by applying all the knowledge, skills, and experience gained during lectures,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prof. Ahmad Yunus also appreciated the students’ achievements, hoping for this achievement to encourage all UNS students to continue their academic excellence. Humas UNS
