UNS — Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held Faculty level Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi (Pilmapres) (Excellent Student Selection) online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application. This selection aims to select the representatives from FKIP who will compete at the university level.
Four juries were invited in the selection process, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si., Lina Mahardiani, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dr. Eng. Nugroho Agung Pambudi, and Arina Zaida Ilma, S.Pd. The first selection stage was inviting all programs to send their two best students to participate. These students were then asked to send creative ideas and a video in English that discuss one of the sustainable development components through the Google Form. Finally, juries selected the six best participants to participate in the next round.
The Best Six were then asked to present their idea to the juries. The highest score in this round was achieved by Farah Yuki Prasetyawati from Physics Education Program 2018 and Dji Hanafit from Mechanical Engineering Education Program (PTM) 2018, Arini Nurfadilah from Mathematics Education Program 2018 won third place. In the Runner Up position, Zalfaa Azalia Pursita from Special Education Program (PKh) 2018, Yokanang Chandra Arfiansyah from Natural Science Education Program 2018, and Rizki Wahyu Perdana from Economy Education Program 2018 won the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Runner Up respectively. These results were announced on Saturday (8/5/2021).
As FKIP representative in the university level selection, Yuki admitted that she did not think she would win the selection process. “Alhamdulillah, I did not expect this and was surprised. This is an unexpected achievement because I did not plan it for this year,” she said to the uns.ac.id team.
Dji Hanafit revealed a similar feeling and reminded his fellow students in FKIP to continue creating and innovating. “(I) did not expect to arrive at this point because I never set a target. Everyone is excellent and has their own potential. It is not about winning that deserved to be proud of, because everybody is a winner, but the most important thing is to benefit others. Keep creating and innovating,” he said. Humas UNS
