UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H, M.Hum., officially opened the International Exhibition for Art, Design, and New Media at the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) UNS on Friday (19/8/2022). “Hereby, I hope that FSRD UNS will never stop contributing more achievements within UNS, national, and international levels. Bismillahirrahmanirrahiim, therefore, I declare the 8th FSRD UNS Anniversary Celebration Series officially open,” said Prof. Jamal.
Although only on its 8th Anniversary, FSRD UNS has been involved in developing art and culture at the national and international levels. In fact, FSRD UNS has established an extensive network with 340 colleges worldwide for arts collaboration under Cummulus Association.
The Dean of FSRD UNS, Dr. Rahmanu Widayat, M.Sn., said that the International Exhibition of Art, Design, and New Media, which features international artists’ works, is a series of events for the 8th Anniversary of FSRD UNS, conducted at the HB. Sutopo Building FSRD UNS.
“The International Exhibition of Art, Design, and New Media also displays lecturer research outcomes, independent works, and foreign painters’ artworks. Nearly 100 painters are here to collaborate on an international exhibition,” said Dr. Rahmanu.
After officially opening the 8th Anniversary of FSRD UNS, Prof. Jamal, alongside the Chairman of the UNS Academic Senate, Prof. Dr. Adi Sulistiyono, S.H., M.H.; the UNS Vice-Rectors; and the Dean of UNS faculties, invited guests to visit the international exhibition, before observing the FSRD UNS artistic and cultural performances.
