UNS — The Chief of Academic and Student Affairs Bureau (Mawa) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Drs. Rohman Agus Pratomo asked UNS students who are self-quarantining in their hostel due to Covid-19 infection to make a report. This request was directly confirmed on Wednesday (7/7/2021), followed by Drs. Rohman Agus Pratomo’s statement that UNS will send assistance for those students.
The helpline is available at +62 87719418247 (Bu Yuni). Through a short message, Drs. Rohman Agus Pratomo stated that currently, his Bureau is collecting data on students who are self-quarantining around the campus. “The emergency step, we help them with vitamins and other needs. We will try to provide consumption during their self-quarantine as well,” he said.
Further, he explained that his team is coordinating with the local leaders around those students. From the current data, they found two students who are self-quarantining. These students were under supervision from the Community Healthcare Center (Puskesmas) and UNS. “We will continue to monitor them. Report to Bu Yuni or me. But do it quickly,” he added.
The Bureau has started to send out help. Merlita Fitriani, Craft Arts (Textile Design) Program Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) UNS student, has received this assistance. Merlita is currently going through self-quarantine in her hostel in Jl. Mendung 3. She was tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday (4/7/2021) through an antigen swab test. After reporting to the hostel and local leader, she got a room for self-quarantining, and her hostel reported her condition to UNS.
Merlita stated that after receiving the news, Drs. Rohman Agus Pratomo contacted her directly through a messaging app to monitor her condition. The Bureau then asked for her personal data and sent assistance, including three meals from UNS Inn, snacks, drinking water, vitamin, and medicines. She also received a health screening from UNS during the quarantine. The university also provides free antigen swab tests for her friends who have direct contact with her.
“I am delighted because I was confused about my meals and all of my friends in the hotel are quarantined. So, nobody could go out. When we heard that we would get catering for ten days, it was relieving. I could focus on getting better. The vitamins and medicines were really helpful. Once, I really need medicine, and the Bureau really look for it for me and deliver it to my hostel. (They are) very generous,” Merlita explained. Humas UNS
