UNS – L’Oreal visited Mathematics and Cultural Science Faculty Universitas Sebelas Maret (FMIPA UNS) to socialize L’Oreal-UNESCO for Women in Science (FWIS) program, Tuesday (3/4/2018).
This event was attended by Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Desi Suci Handayani, the leader of Indonesia National Commission for UNESCO Irianti, L’Oreal Manager for Indonesia Zanita, the representative of FWIS judges Ariatna Juwono, and the winner of FWIS 2009 Henri Wiliandari.

FWIS is a competition hosted by L’Oreal Foundation in cooperation with Indonesia National Commission, Department of Education and Culture. This competition concerns on science research for Indonesia women.
FWIS strongly encourages women to be creative and innovative so that they can contribute in developing science to overcome future challenges. “The world needs science, science needs women” is a emphasizing L’Oreal to accommodate women’s empowerment.
“In senior high school, the ratio between men and women is 50:50. However in a level of doctoral program a number of women are diminish. Therefore, just a few numbers of women who can get noble prize,” said Zanita.
