UNS — The Management Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta is serious about working in the training and certification field. The intention was demonstrated through various development programs in the field, including holding technical assistance on Thursday (2/12/2021).
The event that was held online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting platform raises the topic of “Preparation for Training and Certification Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Industry”. The Head of Management Program FEB UNS, Dr. Atmaji, M.M., stated that the event was held to improve Management faculty members’ capability in holding training and certification in various fields. This time, they focus on the logistics and supply chain industry.
“We hope that this training could equip the Management faculty members in preparing training and certification program. After participating in this program, I hope all faculty members could act as reliable trainers for the community, especially for our students,” Dr. Atmaji stated.
Further, Dr. Atmaji explained that currently, his Team is revitalizing the Pusat Pengembangan Manajemen (PPM) (Center for Management Development). The training and certification programs will be one of the programs developed under PPM managed by the Management Program.
To learn in-depth concerning the logistic and supply chain sector, the program invited Johannes Samsi, S.E., M.M. CSCM, CSCL, CLM, CSMK., a Director of Trucking Company Indonesia. Johannes has extensive experience in multinational shipping companies, freight forwarding, and trucking/logistics/transportation. Johannes also acts as Senior Manager in PT. Samudra Indonesia for ten years from 2001 to 2011, before moving as the General Manager in PT. Pantos Logistik Indonesia for two years. The Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) graduate also served as Country Head in PT. TCI Global Indonesia, President Director in PT. Perkasa Teknik Solusi, Director HARVEST Taxi, and currently serving as the Director of PT. TMA Logistics Indonesia.
Johannes opened his material with an introduction to a number of certification institutes in Indonesia. He then explained the requirements that must be fulfilled by freight drivers and explained the differences between the Driving License (SIM) and Driving Competencies that must be owned by drivers. He invited all training participants to discuss in-depth the logistic and supply chain industry from 09.00 am to 03.00 pm local time. Humas UNS
