UNS — As an answer to the learning technology challenges amid the pandemic, the Master Program in Educational Technology (TP) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held an International Guest Lecture with Marshall Cavendis Education (MCE), Singapore.
This event was held online on Thursday (9/9/2021) and invited Dr. Peter Esperanza, from the Barstow Community College in the United States (US). Two hundred participants attended the event with diverse backgrounds, teachers, university teachers, and educational practitioners.
Dr. Triana Rejekiningsih, M.Pd., as the Head of the Master Program in Educational Technology, hoped that this event could strengthen UNS – MCE Singapore collaboration to become more strategic.
“MCE has provided various educational services and digital learning innovation. Thus, it is hoped that this course could strengthen S2 TP students and graduates’ competencies as the developers of educational technology,” Dr. Triana stated in the news release received by uns.ac.id on Saturday (11/9/2021).
Vice Dean of Academic Affairs FKIP UNS, Prof. Slamet Subiyantoro, opened the event and appreciated Dr. Triana and fellows in holding the national and international level academic event. The representative from MCE, Mr. Malvin also appreciated and thanked the Master Program in Educational Technology (TP) for selecting MCE as the partner in shaping future academic technology creators, especially in designing e-teaching materials.
As the speaker, Dr. Peter delivered materials on “Designing E-Teaching Materials” and reminded that the educational technolog should not be afraid of starting innovation. “Thus, the benefits can be felt by the community,” he said.
Dr. Triana added that the discussion was held interactively, and participants were enthusiastic in giving questions, including on how to create creative and innovative learning. Humas UNS
