UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta in cooperation with Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) held an international seminar entitled “Establish the Standard Quality of Vocational School Graduate to Face the ASEAN Qualification Skill Competencies”. This event took place in Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FKIP) and was part of the series of the 25th Competition of Vocational School Students Competence (LKS SMK), conducted on Monday-Friday (15-19/5/2017) in Surakarta.
Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy opens the international seminar
There were 17 speakers presented in the seminar, coming from Indonesia and other countries with internationally recognized skills and capacity for the respective expertises. This seminar was held to prepare Vocational School graduates in facing globalization era, identify the strategies to improve Vocational School graduates’ and Vocational Schools quality, and develop the capacity if teachers capacity and educational personnels in Vocational Schools.
Muhadjir Effendy speaks in the international seminar
Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy conveyed one of the government’s three priority programs in education — vocational education revitalization. One of the efforts is harmonizing Vocational School students and graduates with the working life and industry, both to learn and acquire a job.
