UNS — The Minister for State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Erick Thohir, shared his commitment to recruiting Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta best graduates. UNS students who have an internship opportunity in the SOEs will be recruited as long as they demonstrate excellent performance.
This commitment was shared by Erick Thohir after signing the Memorandum of Understanding between UNS and Ministry of SOEs in G.P.H. Haryo Mataram UNS Auditorium, Sunday (6/2/2022).
“It’s guaranteed (to be recruited). Some of UNS graduates already work in the SOEs,” Erick Thohir stated to uns.ac.id.
Erick Thohir added that to increase young graduates who work in SOEs, his institution put forwards innovation, technology, and work together with universities for research and development.
“Therefore, recruitment for the best of university students in Indonesia or Indonesians abroad, we encourage to join SOEs so that we have the continue leadership, sustainability, and policy for the development of our SOEs,” he stated.
The Points Agreed
The Memorandum of Understanding between UNS and Ministry of SOEs was signed by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho and Erick Thohir. The signing ceremony was also attended by the Vice-Rectors of UNS and Vice-Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa.
Through the agreement, both institutions agreed to employ all of their abilities and resources under the mutual benefits principle in research, education, community service, and the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program.
After the signing ceremony, Prof. Jamal openly invited all professionals in SOEs to share their knowledge and expertise with UNS students.
“To achieve the great result (because), it is a grand design of collaboration between the Ministry of SOEs and UNS. We also hope that professionals in SOEs (could assist) in developing UNS. To Pak Erick, we open our door,” Prof. Jamal stated. Humas UNS
