UNS — To prepare the contingent for Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta to compete in the National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an for University Students (MTQMN), the Student Association (UKM) of Ilmu Qur’an (IQ) UNS held an opening for MTQMN 2021 Training. The training was held through the Zoom Cloud Meeting. MTQMN is a competition in art and comprehension of Al Qur’an for university students, held once in two years by the Directorate General of Learning and University Student, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology RI.
The training was opened with an opening remark from the committee who mentioned that intention is the most important basis in participating in the competition. The intention of participating in MTQMN should be for Allah and to seek blessing from Allah. In the opening remark, the committee also reminded the participants to always remember Allah. “Everything that we have done is the will of Allah, and what we get are entrusted to us by Allah,” Ihsan, the Head of the Committee, stated.
The opening remark was followed by a reminder for the Head of UKM IQ, who stated that all members of the delegate are expected to work together. “Like a strong building. As we are reminded, our intention should be to learn Al-Qur’an and dakwah,” Kunto Yogo Nugroho said in the opening ceremony, Sunday (11/7/2021).
The following agenda was sharing of experience from previous delegates in 2019. The last MTQMN was held in Universitas Syah Kuala (UNSYAH), Banda Aceh. At the time UNS achieved accomplishment in Musabaqah Hifzil Qur’an (MHQ) 30 juz for female and Musabaqah Pembacaan Kitab Maulid Nabi Muhammad shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam (MMN).
In this session, each branch of the competition was represented by a delegate. Hafiz Abdurrahman spoke for Qur’an Application Design (DAQ), Azkia Rachmah for Qur’an Scientific Writing (KTIQ), Zalfaa Azalia Pursita for English Scientific Debate (DII), Nurul Aini Choiriyah for Arabic Scientific Debate (DIA), Haris Abdul Majid for Musabaqah Fahmil Qur’an (MFQ), Iqbal Albani for Musabaqah Khattil Qur’an (MKQ), Sholikah Isti Fadilah for Musabaqah Syarhil Qur’an (MSQ), Nur Nasichah Istiqomah for MMN, Lailatul Hikmah for MHQ, and Detria Nur Aini for Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ).
