UNS – Kokushikan University of Japan again strengthens cooperation with Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The partnership has been established since 2010 and now continues with the realization of the book handover program from Kokushikan University Japan to UNS.
This program has been launched since 2015 and finally can be realized in 2018 with the consignment of 688 books worth ¥ 1,460,268 or Rp160,629,480. Kokushikan University Japan and UNS strive to establish a good and productive cooperation, not only agreements in education, such as research and student exchange, but also provide book grants.
The book handover took place at UNS on Wednesday (5/30/2018) then it is donated from UNS International Office as facilitator of book donation to the UNS Library on Monday (4/6/2018). It was witnessed by the Japanese Studies Center of the UNS Javanology Institute as UNS stakeholders who directly related to the use of Japanese language books.
This event was attended by several top officials, namely Muhammad Taufiq Al Makmun as Chairman of UNS International Office, Muhammad Rohmadi as Head of UPT (Technical Implementation Unit) UNS Library, Danar Praseptiangga as Head of Center for Japanese Studies at UNS, and Setyo Budi as the Head of the UNS Javanology Institute.
