UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta is pushing towards increasing its scientific publication at a reputable scientific journal as a form of Higher Education Tri Dharma in research. Faculty members and students’ papers published in a reputable journal could increase UNS reputation at the global level. However, students often face difficulty in publishing their studies.
Considering this condition, the Association of Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) Scholarship Chapter UNS held a Journal Webinar on Saturday (4/9/2021). The webinar was held through the Zoom Cloud Meeting platform and discussed “Formula to Face Rejection and Successfully Publish Article in Indexed and Reputable Journal”. The chief of the committee, M. Isnaini Nur Iqbal, stated that scientific publication is a requirement for postgraduate students, especially in UNS. Therefore, postgraduate students need tips and tricks to publish in an indexed and reputable journal.
“Scientific article published in the indexed and reputable journals is a requirement for students, especially in postgraduate school. However, there are many challenges to publish such a manuscript. Therefore, this webinar is expected to benefits students in publishing their scientific articles in the target journals,” Iqbal explained.
The Chief of LPDP Awardee Association Chapter UNS, Danan Tricahyono, also stated that students need tips and tricks to publish an article in \a journal.
“We have Mas Ryzal, who has experienced publishing articles in national and international journals. We hope Mas Ryzal could share tips and tricks so that participants could follow Mas Ryzal steps in scientific publication,” Danan explained.
This webinar invited Dr. Ryzal Perdana, S.Pd., M.Pd., as a speaker. Dr. Ryzal is an alumnus of LPDP awardees who completed his master’s and doctoral study in UNS. The youngest doctor and best graduate of Doctoral Program UNS 2020 have published 22 articles in the reputable international journal in the last ten years. The 28 years old author is now teaching in Universitas Lampung and acts as a reviewer in various national and international journals.
In this webinar, Dr. Ryzal delivered two materials to publish manuscripts in indexed journals and handle journal reviews. The webinar was participated by 185 people from various universities in Indonesia. Humas UNS
