UNS — The fall of yellow flowers blanketing the streets of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta could be observed on Monday (3/10/2022). The Angsana flower or Pterocarpus indicus fall covered almost all parts of the suburban campus, with many students who could be observed to capture the moment that came only a few times a year: during the midterm, usually. However, it is impossible to fully predict when the peak of this blanketing beauty will fully cover the ground.
People outside the campus are not immune to this natural phenomenon’s appeal, with many of those who aren’t UNS students participating in the photo and video hunting activities. Among these people, Kristina Bintang and friends, students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), shared their first experience with the unique fall season.
“This is the first time for me; it’s mesmerizing,” she said in the interview.

Angsana is one of the many old species covering the UNS campus ground from the north to the south gate. The trees provide perfect protection against heat for people, and their flowers offer calming smells and panoramic surprises for those unfamiliar with the trees.
The spots suggested if you are interested in hunting some mesmerizing pictures of this fall season are UNS Lake, Faculty of Engineering (FT), Postgraduate School, along with Faculty of Economic and Business (FEB), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), and Faculty of Law (FH) areas, Nurul Huda UNS Mosque, Faculty of Cultural Studies (FIB), and Student Cooperative Office (Kopma).
