“The Kaia Woods sells processed products from wood waste in the form of wall ornaments. Moreover, the business also offers an application to assist the marketing process and helping consumers to connect with the business. We choose this business idea because statistically, wood waste keeps increasing and only a little part of the community that understands the potential of the waste, where it can be processed to have an added value,” he explains on Thursday (25/3/2021).
When announced as second place, Marcell and the team admit that they are excited and do not expect to be a finalist and bring home the championship title.
“We got mixed feeling between happy, sad, and touched, because all of our hard work is paid off that day. Moreover, we are happy to win over our rival from reputable universities such as Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Padjajaran (Unpad), Institut Teknologi Sebelas Nopember (ITS), Universitas Airlangga (Unair), Universitas Bina Nusantara (Binus), Universitas Brawijaya (UB), and Universitas Indonesia (UI),” the second year student admitted.
