UNS – The Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Assisted Village Product Expo came to a close on Saturday (2/9/2023). The Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S., officially closed the two-day event. The expo, held by UNS students as part of the Independent Learning Independent Campus (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, or MBKM) program, received appreciation from the academic community who attended.
In his speech, Prof. Yunus said that the UNS Assisted Village Product Expo had been a success. Specifically, today marked the beginning of the UNS Student Organization (Ormawa) Expo aimed at new students (Maba). The event became even livelier with these two significant activities taking place simultaneously.
This expo shows that the dedication of UNS students to developing a village is tangible. This is proven by the showcased products, including food products, art, fashion, appropriate technology, and education/learning media. These products are seen as innovative and beneficial.
UNS students had strengthened the network between the village, the local government, UNS, and various partners through this expo. Prof. Yunus expressed his gratitude as they had contributed significantly to various sectors in the village, including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
“From this two-day expo, we can truly see that the work of UNS students in assisting programs in the village is very real. The results of these products don’t end here but will continue with the next MBKM activities,” Prof. Yunus said.
The UNS Assisted Village Product Expo also featured competitions showcasing students work. Several categories included packaging competitions, product standardization competitions, best booth competitions, video competitions, and Instagram competitions. Humas UNS
