UNS — The registration for UNS Campus Ambassador 2021 is opened on 15 February 2021 for Undergraduate Program students (the year 2018-2020) and Diploma Students (the year 2019 and 2020). Mutiara Sabrina as the coordinator of the UNS Campus Ambassador 2021 Election, stated that Campus Ambassador is a community for the winner of the election tasked to build UNS branding. The event is an annual occasion that was stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mutiara also stated that the pandemic has a significant effect on student’s interests. In previous years, each faculty sent two students as their representatives. However, this year, some faculties cannot send their best students due to study from home policy. However, the managing committee instructed the winner of this year’s event to stay in Solo and perform their branding UNS Campus task.
The hard situation does not stop the student from participating in this event. Until the public test, 18 students registered in the system, 11 female participants and seven male participants. The revival of this selection is a challenge for the committee to apply Covid-19 Taskforce’s suggestion in the event.
“The election will be held online and offline. We have two stages, the online and offline stage. The online stage includes the registration, technical meeting, briefing 1, and written and interview test. The rest are offline, from the public test, aptitude test, briefing 2, until the final,” Mutiara explained.
The public test was held offline on Sunday (28/03/2021) in Ruang Sidang MAWA Besar UNS following the health protocols. As the coordinator, Mutiara hopes that UNS Campus Ambassador can be responsible for his choice and become a credible Public Relations for UNS.
