UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta collaborates with INTI International University & Colleges Malaysia on Thursday (12/8/2021). The partnership is marked with an online Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application. The Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr.rer.nat Sajidan, M.Si., represented UNS in the signing ceremony, while INTI International University & Colleges was represented by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Joseph Lee.
Prof. Dr.rer.nat Sajidan, M.Si., stated that the collaboration that will be effective for five years is UNS commitment to be a World Class University (WCU). With INTI International University & Colleges Malaysia, UNS builds a partnership in student exchange programs and faculty exchange programs.
The student exchange programs cover study tours and trial classes for students for two weeks. The program also allows UNS and INTI International University & Colleges students to participate in an extended exchange program for a year.
The second program, faculty exchange programs, covers three activities, visiting & communication programs, online and offline training for teachers, academic funding, and doctoral student and professor’s visits for two months.
“We are very aware that in today globalize world, partnership with high education institutions in foreign countries is important, especially to improve the quality of education that we deliver for our students to with international standard,” Prof. Sajidan mentioned in his opening remark.
INTI International University & Colleges has excellent expectations in collaboration with UNS. “I do believe that both the dreams using there are local synergies that we can work together and not only in terms of student exchange, student activities and the teacher exchange and research activity. And many other opportunities in the sub-collaboration being sharing the courses, sharing the knowledge, and sharing the understanding of high education,” Dr. Joseph Lee concluded. Humas UNS
