UNS — Five Professors from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta were officially inaugurated by the Academic Senate on Tuesday (14/9/2021). The professors are from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Faculty of Engineering (FT), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), and two from the Faculty of Agriculture (FP). The inaugurated professors are: Prof. Dr. Triyanto, S.H., M.Hum., Prof. Dr. Budi Kristiawan, S.T., M.T., Prof. Dr. Fitria Rahmawati, S.Si., M.Si., Prof Dr. Ir. Mohamad Harisudin, M.Si., and Prof. Ir. Sutrisno Hadi Purnomo, S.Pi., M.M., Ph.D.
The inauguration ceremony was held offline in the Faculty of Medical Science (FK) Auditorium UNS under a strict health protocol. The event was also broadcasted through the Zoom Cloud Meeting and UNS YouTube. The inauguration ceremony was opened by the Chairman of Academic Senate UNS, Prof. Dr. Adi Sulistiyono, S.H., M.H.
The Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum, led the ceremony. “Today, 14 September 2021, we inaugurate Prof. Dr. Triyanto, S.H., M.Hum as Professor in Citizenship Education at FKIP, Prof Dr. Ir. Mohamad Harisudin, M.Si as Professor in Agribusiness Strategic Management Science at FT, Prof. Ir. Sutrisno Hadi Purnomo, S.Pi., M.M., Ph.D as Professor in Animal Husbandry Socio-Economics at FP, Prof. Dr. Budi Kristiawan, S.T., M.T as Professor in Mechanical Engineering at FT, and Prof. Dr. Fitria Rahmawati, S.Si., M.Si as Professor in Chemistry Science at FMIPA,” Prof. Jamal stated.
Prof. Dr. Triyanto, S.H., M.Hum was inaugurated as the youngest Professor in FKIP UNS at 38 years old. In his inauguration speech, Prof. Triyanto discussed civic education as law awareness education. The achievements of the five professors were appreciated by the Chairman of the Board of Professors UNS.
“I am proud and happy because the inaugurated professors today are relatively young,” Prof. Suranto stated.
With this inauguration ceremony, UNS has 240 Professors, with 131 are active Professors. Prof. Jamal left a message for the new professors to continue developing their disciplines through the Higher Education Tri Dharma. Prof. Jamal even hoped that this achievement is not the end of the new professor’s career but a gate to continue working through research and publications. Humas UNS
