UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta joined the second period of the Teaching Practitioner Program with a total of 71 collaborative classes. This number has increased compared to the first period when UNS passed 9 collaboration classes.
The Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S., was present at this event to sign the cooperation agreement accompanied by the Coordinator of the Teaching Practitioner Program for UNS, Eko Harry Pratisto, S.T., M.Info.Tech., Ph.D.
“The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Education Education, Culture, Research and Technology and universities participating in the Teaching Practitioner program in Tangerang, Banten on Monday (15/5/2023). The event began with remarks from, among others, the Head of the Second Period Teaching Practitioner Program and the Director of Resources for the Directorate General of Higher Education, Mohammad Sofwan Effendi,” Prof. Yunus explained.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) was implementing the second period of the Teaching Practitioner program in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. This program involved practitioners partnering with universities to learn through ongoing courses.
The 71 collaborative classes consisted of 31% from the undergraduate program and 69% from the vocational program. There were 63 practitioners who collaborated on the competencies required for each class in the current course. “It is hoped that the Teaching Practitioner program will be able to produce university graduates who are of high quality and in accordance with industry needs,” he concluded.
