One of the products introduced by UNS is an Internet of Things (IoT) pest control system for farmers, developed by inventor Fendi Aji Purnomo and a team from the Diploma-3 Program in Informatics Engineering of the Vocational School UNS. The showcased IoT pest product is designed for rodent, bird, insect, or rice pest control. The product can be remotely controlled using Internet of Things (IoT) technology and is powered by environmentally friendly solar energy. “The hope for this innovative product from SV UNS is that farmers can reduce the use of pesticides and increase their crop yields,” Fendi explained.
Another IoT product is the Early Warning System for Disability Inclusion. This product provides early warning to the general public and specifically to people with disabilities. The advantage of this product is that one transmitter and receiver can be replicated for multiple households with disabled individuals, and the ews-ff device uses a free frequency that doesn’t require an internet package and is designed to be compact and easy to carry.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Central Java Provincial Government, Sumarno, M.M. highly appreciated the development of these products. Sumarno hopes that these innovative products can be used by the community soon. Humas UNS
