UNS — The Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta officially signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) (t/n: Railway Industry) through Zoom Cloud Meetings, on Wednesday (14/7/2021). The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Prof. Jamal Wiwoho as the Rector of UNS and Agung Sedaju as the Development Director of PT INKA (Persero).
Prof. Jamal expresses his gratitude for the partnership between UNS and PT INKA as the biggest railway company in the Southeast Asia Region. This partnership, according to him, is an opportunity to synergize the potential and resources in UNS and PT INKA.
The partnership will involve the implementation of Higher Education Institution Tri Dharma (education, research, and community service), Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka program implementation, and business collaboration.
“The objective of this partnership is to optimize the resources and quality owned by UNS and PT INKA for the implementation of both institution duties and functions, according to the authority of each institution for the greater interest of both institutions. Hopefully, we can establish a favorable collaboration in the coming events and activities,” he explains.
Meanwhile, Agung Sedaju states that the partnership is a form of support for the implementation of the Mereka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka program, where collaboration between industry and higher education institutions is crucial and necessary.
