UNS — A happy news came from History Education Program student Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Fiska Amanda Mulia, who won the prize for 2nd place and favorite poster in Akmapesa Economic Competition (Aection) 3.0 Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) as one of the three competitions in the annual event.
Fiska, her nickname, submitted a poster titled “The Importance of Entrepreneurship Spirit for Millennials through the Creation of Creative Product” that represents Aection 3.0 theme Creative Generation in Economic Development for Bright Indonesia. Fiska said that she is delighted with these achievements because she could share her thought on the entrepreneurship sector that she focuses on.
“Alhamdulillah, I am happy because (I) could share my ideas and hopes in a poster. It was a coincidence that the theme is in line with my background as an entrepreneur,” Fiska said to uns.ac.id team on Wednesday (13/10/2021).
The student from Sragen District, Central Java, started her brownies production in 2017 that she branded as Bronislur. Her business is a success story that generated significant income amid the Covid-19 pandemic and won funding from the Entrepreneurial Student Program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek). Her experiences as an entrepreneur moved her to create the poster and shared information, tips, and tricks of working as an entrepreneur in the poster. Through her work, Fiska also invited millennials to be entrepreneurs by utilizing their social media. She hoped that her poster could be encouraged to be an entrepreneur like her.
“I hope this poster could increase millennials’ spirits to contribute to the Indonesia development by becoming a young entrepreneur. So, are we ready to be a millennial who takes part in accelerating Indonesian economic growth?” she said.
First Win
This achievement is Fiska’s first time winning a poster competition after participating in many similar competitions. With her relentless efforts and tenacity, Fiska finally won her recent poster competition. “This is the first time I won a poster competition this year after failed ten times. I am not art major student, so creating a poster is just a fad, and I often lose in the poster competition. Alhamdulillah, the first time I won two categories at the same time, 2nd place and favorite poster,” she said.
Although this is her first winning poster competition, Fiska has won many other competitions such as 1st place in National MSMEs Competition held by Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), 2nd place in National MSMEs Digital Based Business Innovation held by Institut Teknologi Kalimantan, 2nd place in the National Infographics Competition held by Universitas Islam Negeri Yogyakarta, 2nd place in the National Business Plan Competition held by UNS, and 2nd place in the National Digital Innovation Competition held by UNS Fintech Center.
