UNS — The Student Community Service Unit (UPKKN) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta build a collaboration with Bank Permata. This collaboration aims to help the community’s economy in synergy with the government program. The assistance will be implemented by accelerating economic digitization and applying technology application through PermataQR in the traditional markets in Surakarta. The collaboration was implemented on Thursday (6/1/2022) in an offline event at UNS Inn under strict health protocols and was participated by UNS students who will participate in Student Community Service Program (KKN) January-February period.

In line with the direction from President Joko Widodo in the Circular Letter (SE) regarding the implementation of non-cash payment in supporting electronification of local government transaction, this collaboration is a form of UNS support in the process of formulating a roadmap for digital transformation in the strategic sectors, including the traditional market. Therefore, UNS and Bank Permata will support this government program in the January-February KKN program.

In preparing this program, UPKKN UNS held a selection for students to participate in KKN at Surakarta. The selected teams participated in a briefing and focused group discussion on their program. This program allows students to apply community service that aligns with the government program.

In the news release received by the uns.ac.id team, Moh Sayful Zuhri, a student involved in this program, hoped that the program could build a continuous collaboration between UNS and Bank Permata while benefitting the community in general, particularly in the economic sector.

“And that students could benefit the community, especially in the economic sector of the traditional market,” Sayful explained. Humas UNS
