UNS — The Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta Football Club won a friendly match against the Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) Football Club. The match was held in UNS Stadium and was broadcasted live through UNS Youtube Channel, Saturday (27/03/2021). Even with heavy rain, the match still runs according to the agenda. Both teams do not lose their spirit.
Other than Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., (the Rector of UNS), also attending the match was Rektor Unesa, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M. Kes. Even Prof. Nurhasan wants to join the match. However, in the middle of the first round, Prof. Nurhasan decided to not continue playing and joining Prof. Jamal in the stands.
Several UNS leaders also enliven the match by joining the UNS FC, one of them is the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Affairs, Prof. Dr. Kuncoro Dihardjo, S.T., M.T. Meanwhile, in Unesa FC there was Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd.
The match was divided into two rounds. In the first round, UNS FC won over the Unesa FC with a 4-0 score. Despite left behind in the first round, Unesa FC tried to catch up by launching a counterattack to the UNS FC’s goal post. The attack brings a sweet result in the second round, turning the score into 4-2.
The score remains 4-2 until the final whistle blows. Even though UNS FC is determined as the winner, the Head of UPT Public Relations and Media of UNS, Dr. Deddy Whinata Kardiyanto, S.Or., M.Pd., states that the match does not determine the champion, instead to strengthen the silaturahim between UNS and Unesa.
In the future, the Rector of Unesa not only wants to invite UNS FC to play against Unesa FC in Surabaya but also the UNS badminton and tennis team. Humas UNS
