UNS – Mandiri Syariah Bank (BSM) gave scholarship to the students of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta who won 32nd National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) medals conducted in Universitas Udayana, Bali on August 27-31, 2019. The scholarship was given in front of UNS Rector, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho accompanied by UNS Vice-Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo and BSM represented by Solo BSM Manager, Zulfikar in the Meeting Room Room 1 dr. Prakosa Building on Tuesday (9/3/2019).
Prof. Jamal stated that this team of Student Creativity Program in the category of Exact Research (PKM-PE) of UNS successfully achieved two medals in the 32nd PIMNAS. They achieved a silver medal in the category of Poster, and a bronze one in the category of Presentation titled “Structural-Functional Modification of Li.nixMny CO2O2 as Li-ION Battery cathode for Electric Car”. The members of this team are Khikmah Nur Rikhy Stulasti, Refarmita Nur Halimah dan Luthfiatul Azizah Aini who all are the students of Chemical Engineering Department of Faculty of Engineering, UNS.
“Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), this year we obtained two medals: silver and bronze. We thank the team who has maintained our campus’ reputation in the national scene. I also thank the lecturer supervisors who have worked hard in supervising the students up to pass PIMNAS,” Prof. Jamal stated.
Prof. Jamal also appreciated BSM who has given the scholarship to them. “Thank you very much BSM for this scholarship, I pray for BSM to establish and become a broad and blessing sharia-based bank,” Prof. Jamal highly appreciated.
On the other hand, the Manager of BSM for Solo sector, Zulfikar, mentioned that the BSM gave scholarship funding of 7,5 million rupiahs for the silver medal acquisition and 5 million rupiahs for the bronze acquisition.
“Hopefully, it will be beneficial for the students and will spur them to continue to excel. We believe that the students who obtained these medals will always develop their innovations so that can be used by the public,” Zulfikar said.
In the future, BSM might reward scholarship to UNS students who obtain national or international achievements. Humas UNS/Dwi/Imron
