UNS — The Faculty of Law (FH) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta received a Smart Board Mini Court grant from the Republic of Indonesia Constitutional Court (MK), Friday (08/10/2021) morning.
The Smart Board Mini Court grant handover was held at the FH UNS Building 3 Hall and was delivered directly by the Republic of Indonesia Constitutional Judge, Prof. Arief Hidayat, to the Dean of FH UNS, Prof. I Gusti Ayu Ketut Rachmi Handayani.
On this occasion, the handover ceremony was also witnessed by the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNS, Prof. Ahmad Yunus, who represents the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho.
Prof. Ahmad Yunus, in his speech, thanked MK for caring for the FH UNS with the grant. For him, the Smart Board Mini Court given by MK can support lecture activities at FH UNS, especially after UNS re-enacted the Face-to-Face Lectures (PTM).
“Smart Board Mini Court from MK is very useful to improve the learning process, especially in FH, by using information technology systems,” said Prof. Ahmad Yunus.
He also hopes that in the future other faculties at UNS can get similar grants in order to support learning activities for their students. “Because we are requested in deliberation by the Directorate General of Higher Education alongside with Unpad and Ubaya to develop hybrid learning. In the future, although the Covid-19 pandemic will end, hybrid learning will be an efficient option for the educational activity. We do not need to bring students to the classroom, allowing students to join the lecture both by attending the class directly or through a virtual channel (distance learning),” added Prof. Ahmad Yunus.
As quoted from the mkri.id webpage the Smart Board Mini Court is expected to be part of a legal subject in seeking justice. Because, according to the Constitutional Court, the subject of law in the development of legal studies does not only includes the organizers of judicial bodies, involved parties, and the procedural law but also supporting tools presented as the element of justice-seeking.
Therefore, through the presence of Smart Board Mini Court at FH UNS, MK wants to reach justice seekers and institutions that synergized with the supporting access elements to the justice seekers. Humas UNS
