UNS – Focus Group Discussion (FGD) is one of the events held by researcher team of Social Science and Politics Faculty (FISIP), Monday (3/9/2018). Taking place at Adhiwangsa Hotel Solo, this event focused on school perception toward internationalization through website and social media.
There were two sections in this FGD talking about internationalization both in universities and UNS as well as UNS representation in social media and websites. Headmasters and teachers of counselling guidance from some high schools in Surakarta joined this event. Moreover, head of Secondary and Special Education Control Centers (Balai Pengendali Pendidikan Menengah dan Khusus/BP2MK) region III Central Java, Jasman Indradno, and the Dean of FISIP, Ismi Dwi Astutui Nurhaeni, attended the event to open and close the event.
Jasman Indradno stated that the participants had to share their ideas so that the FGD result can increase UNS internationalization. Besides, he also told that there will be an exhibition of overseas education on October.
“There will be some universities abroad attending the exhibition. UNS will use this event to have cooperation in double degree program,” Jasman stated in his speech.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FISIP stated that this study matters to push UNS rank in a global scale.
“Media become a new instrument to determine the university rank,” Ismi stated.
In addition, the data will be collected from the Senior High School students in Surakarta regarding internationalization through social media. humas-red.uns/Ref/Dty
