UNS — The Undergraduate Program in Accounting Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of International Class on Wednesday (17/12/2021). Faculty members from Accounting, Management, and Development Economic Programs attended the FGD that invited Dr. Devi Sulistyo Kalanjati, SE, M.Acc, M.Sc, Ak and Agung Julianto, SE,M.Si, Ph.D, Ak, CA as speakers.
Dr. Djuminah, M.Si., Ak., Vice-Dean for Human Resources, Finance, and Logistics Affairs FEB UNS, who represented the Dean of FEB UNS, stated that this FGD is an exciting moment for faculty and program management and faculty members because they could exchange knowledge and experience in managing an international class.
Taufiq Arifin, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., Ak., who represented the Head of Accounting Program, stated in his remark that the event is a part of the UNS program as a World Class University.
“International class is a part of university strategy to shape high-quality graduates that could compete at national and international levels by providing exposure towards international level curriculum, especially in diverse skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and other skills,” Taufiq Arifin explained.
Previously, the International Class program was implemented by Accounting and Development Economic Program FEB UNS. In the program, students gained an opportunity to enrich their academic experiences, for example, by taking a double degree, four semesters in UNS and four semesters at Curtin University.
“This is an exciting program that could be used by students in the first batch of international class,” he added.
The FGD was expected to provide a forum of discussion in developing the existing program in FEB UNS, especially in managing an international class. Humas UNS
