UNS — One of the Professors from the Faculty of Agriculture (FP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Ir. Darsono, M.Si., is inaugurated as the Rector of Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK) for the period of 2021-2025. Prof. Darsono, who was once a UNS Vice-Rector for Students and Alumni Affairs in 2015-2019, is inaugurated as Rector of UMK on January 9th, 2021.
To uns.ac.id, Prof. Darsono reveals that this new mandate is a challenge for him in the coming 2021. “This additional assignment as the Rector of UMK for 2021-2025 is opportunities and challenges for me and UNS as PTN BH to share kindness, advancing education and civilization on a broader scale. The parameter is the development of UMK,” Prof. Darsono explains.
Even with the new position as the Rector of UMK, Prof. Darsono will continue his lecture in UNS. “I will remain an academic member of UNS. I wish for your blessing, hopefully, I will be given the strength in carrying out this duty,” Prof. Darsono added.
Meanwhile, the Chair of UNS Academic Senate, Prof. Dr. Adi Sulistiyono, confirmed that one of the best lecturers in UNS, Prof. Darsono, is selected as the Rector of UMK. “Alhamdulillah, as the Chair of the UNS Academic Senate, I am proud of the election of Prof. Darsono as the Rector of UMK. Hopefully, he can dedicate his knowledge as the Rector of UMK. In the hand of Prof. Darsono, hopefully, UMK can improve its achievement at the national level and getting more public trust,” Prof. Adi states.
