UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta established a partnership with the Irish Institute of Digital Business (IIDB), Dublin City University (DCU), Dublin, Ireland, Friday (19/8/2022). The partnership was marked by the signatory of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties, which was carried out virtually through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application.
During the memorandum signatory ceremony, UNS was represented by Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., as the Rector of UNS; Prof. Sajidan, as Vice-Rector of Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs; and Prof. Irwan Trinugroho as the Head of UNS Center for Fintech and Banking. While the IIDB DCU was represented by Prof. Theo Lynn as the Centre Director of IIDB, Dr. Lisa van der Werff as IIDB Centre Director, and Prof. Colm O’Gorman as the Executive Dean of DCU Business School.

In his remark, Prof. Jamal stated that he believes this partnership will have a positive impact on both parties. “I personally believe that our goodwill will have a positive impact on this partnership,” said Prof. Jamal.
Further, Prof. Colm O’Gorman expressed his gratitude for the partnership. “We are fascinated by this cooperation. We hope to visit UNS one day. Thank you for this Memorandum signatory ceremony. Hopefully, it can be implemented successfully,” said Prof. Colm.
The partnership signatory will establish a collaborative relationship between the UNS Center for Fintech and Banking and IIDB to support research collaboration, knowledge transfer on specific themes and projects, student and lecturer exchange program, faculty and researcher development, and expansion of the dotLAB network through the UNS Center for Fintech and Banking. This partnership will end on 31 December 2027 if there is no extension between the parties. Humas UNS
