UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta was ranked 10th on the list of universities having most scientific publications indexed in Scopus in 2017. Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta was ranked 10th on the list of universities having most scientific publications indexed in Scopus in 2017.

In a period of January – July 2017, UNS was put in the 7th place for its 341 scientific articles published. According to Sulistyo, UNS’ increasing productivity in research or international scientific journal publication represented UNS’ thorough efforts to advance scientific publication.

“The increasing number in scientific publications is in line with the university head’s commitment to allocate 15 percent of this year’s Non-tax Revenue (PNBP) budget to support research, which is worth Rp. 57 billion from the total fund available, Rp. 385 billion,” said Sulistyo, Sunday (24/7/17).

Sulistyo explained that the scientific publications in indexed international journals were mostly results of the research conducted by UNS lecturers.

“The qualification varied, from Masters, Doctors, and there were also several professors although they did not take part as the main researchers,” Sulistyo added. humas.uns.ac.id/Isn/Sav/Eln
