UNS – The number of students with academic struggles are significant. Reflecting on the resolution to this condition, Faculty of Arts and Design of Universitas Sebelas Maret (FSRD UNS) launched Early Warning System. The initial step of this system is done by inviting parents or guardians of students with academic difficulties.
On Tuesday (31/1/2017), FSRD students and their parents or guardians had a meeting with each of their Academic Advisor and Head of Department in Ruang Galeri Seni Rupa FSRD. Besides getting an explanation regarding the application of Early Warning System, parents were also informed about the difficulties encountered by students in their academic life such as incompatibility with their program or having too much time spent on non-academic activities.

Hopefully, this meeting will increase the Educational Effectiveness Rate (AAE) in FSRD UNS. Vice Dean of Academic Affairs of FSRD UNS, Dr. Rahmanu Widayat, M.Sn. also added that this initiative could be a contributory component of resulting solutions for students in finishing their study well and punctually.
