UNS — The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta organizes another International Conference entitled International Conference On Advanced Material For Better Future (ICAMBF) 2020. The conference was held for two days, starting on Tuesday (13/10/2020) until Wednesday (14/10/2020).
In his opening remarks, the Chair of the ICAMBF 2020 Committee, Prof. Ari Handono Ramelan, states that the objective of this conference is to disseminate the research result conducted by researchers, experts, as well as the academicians. “This also become a forum to share ideas and knowledge regarding all sophisticated material and nanotechnology, to be discussed and finding an adaptable solution,” Prof. Handono explains, Wednesday (14/10/2020).
Due to the ongoing Covid-19, the current conference was conducted virtually. But this does not reduce participants’ enthusiasm. In total there are 142 participants with 78 articles presented during the parallel session. The event also invites 4 (four) main speakers from Indonesia and overseas universities, Prof. Roger Narayan (North Caroline University, USA), Prof. Hanafi Ismail (Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia), Prof. Yuichi Sato (Akita University, Japan), and Prof. Ir. Ari Handono Ramelan M.Sc.(Hons), Ph.D. (Department of Physics, Universitas Sebelas Maret), who presented material on the first day.
Meanwhile, on the second day, there are 5 (five) speakers namely, Lars Jorgensen from ThorCon, USA, Prof. Venty Suryanti, M.Phil., Ph.D. (Universitas Sebelas Maret, Indonesia), Prof. Dr. B. Muthuraaman (Department of Energy, University of Madras Guindy, India), Mayor Lek Dr. Hendri Himawan T., S.T., M.Eng. (Indonesian Air Force Army), and Prof. Santiago Gomez Ruiz (Rey Juan Carlos University, Spain). This conference is the fifth annual conference organized by FMIPA UNS. Humas UNS
