UNS – Student Vaganza in 2019 New Students Orientation Program (PKKMB) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, broke LEPRID Indonesian record, Sunday (08/18/2019). This event was a part of the Nation Act of UNS Students Socialization with a theme, “Prevent Radicalism, Enforce Pancasila” in commemorating the Republic of  Indonesia’s 74th Independence Day.

The head of Red-and-White Love Movement (GCMP), Maria Arbanu, said that the Indonesia-World Achievements Institute (LEPRID) was an independent institution that records the Indonesian people professionally, accountably, transparently, and dignifiedly. In this event, the launching of “Pancasila Jiwa Kita” (Pancasila Our Soul) –a song by GCMP Team–,  then cheer chant and nation pantomime with the theme “Pancasila Our Soul” along with total 8.639 of all 2019 UNS new students, were held. Nation moral movement using sign language by most students was conducted afterward in a framework to enliven the Indonesia’s 74th Independence Day.

“The general purposes of this act are to embed and impassioned the spirit of nationalism of the students; declare the ideology of Pancasila enforcement, UUD 1945 (the 1945 Constitution), NKRI (the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity); also spread the spirit of nationalism to all the students and youths in all over Indonesia. Furthermore, the special purpose is to break a LEPRID Indonesian record for the biggest nation act involving the most number of students,” explained Maria in the Press Conference at Meeting Room 4 dr. Prakosa Building, UNS on Friday (08/16).

This event was supported by GCMP and networks, UNS Pancasila Study Center, UNS Academic Communities, all the new students of UNS, also the sponsors (Klamben and Sakaw Coffee & Bites).

Meanwhile, Vice-Rector of UNS for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ahmad Yunus highly appreciated the Student Vaganza event of 2019 UNS PKKMB. Hopefully, by this event, the spirit of nationalism of the UNS new students can be developed. “In harmony with the theme, [this event] expectedly can block the radicalism in the campus and build the nationalism among the students,” he concluded.  Humas UNS/Try
